Starlite Offers Yoga with a Reiki Twist

The word yoga derives from the Sanskrit term "to yoke" in order to achieve complete unity of the mind, body, and spirit. Yoga has been practiced in other areas of the world for centuries.
Starlite offers classes in classic hatha, a practice that encourages awareness, resting periods between physical postures, and the use of breathwork, relaxation, and meditation.

Yoga-Reiki Blend
All Starlite instructors are also certified in the Japanese energy healing technique of reiki. Instructors incorporate some light reiki transmission during savasana, or deep relaxation.

Starlite Style
The Starlite style is to provide students of all levels with a gentle yet individually challenging, noncompetitive environment in which to practice. Our instructors have been carefully selected to create a nurturing, supportive experience for each student, reflective of the Starlite mission.

Private Instruction and Corporate Classes
Individual/couples instruction and corporate classes are available in addition to our group classes. Call 212 337-9526 for details and scheduling.

Starlite Yoga Classes

Beginner
Our most basic, gentle class. Each physical posture is explained in detail and extra assistance is given to the student. Focus is on moving at your own pace and body's current ability level.

Sun-Up
Classic hatha series with some invigorating sun salutations to get the energy moving and start your day. Less time devoted to deep relaxation—and more emphasis on asana practice. Open Level.

Lite-Lunch
A 1-hour class. All basics covered in a shorter period to allow you to get back to work quickly. Relaxation and meditation are included.

ADVANCED Lunch
For experienced yoga students looking to deepen their physical practice and explore a more complex, challenging range of postures. Not for those with injuries or any serious health concern. Includes relaxation and a healing focus.

Afternoon Hatha
Integrative class with physical postures (asanas), breathwork, and guided meditation. Some restorative poses introduced. Thursdays we offer Anusara style—a heart-centered practice focusing on alignment and intention. Open Level.

Yoga for Self-Healing
A journey toward inner awareness and filling the well of your own heart. A class designed for those feeling drained and wanting to take time for self-care. Extra meditations, guided imagery and very gentle restorative postures are the focus. Beginners are welcome.

Sun-Down
A mindful, peaceful practice with modifications offered to those who are recovering from injuries or just beginning their yoga journey. Extended guided relaxation offered to help you wind down from the stress of the workday.
